…nearly tripled the number of youth participating in Monroe Community Sailing programs, from 70 in 2024 to 194.
…more than doubled the number of youth participating in Adventure Boating Camp in Belmont Harbor from 45 in 2024 to 105, across seven week-long sessions.
…again celebrated our annual Whitehawk Week, thanks to generous participation from Peter and Marijane Thornton, who make the beautiful Whitehawk available to our young sailors and our donors alike each year.
…continued our flagship Lead HER Ship program, during which nine young women embark on a five-day sail aboard the 105-foot tall ship Alliance to learn boating, teamwork, and Great Lakes ecology while having fun and making new friends.
…hosted the first-ever Sailapalooza, a four-day sailing camp in Monroe Harbor focused on fun and learning new things in and on the water, for kids age 10 to 18.
…provided 34 scholarships to summer-long sailing schools up and down the lakefront.
…hosted fun, first-time introductory experiences for nearly 750 kids. We thank the CYC Power Fleet and Cruising Sail Fleet for hosting two of these cruises!
…again offered Judd’s Camp, multi-session sailing education for children with physical disabilities in partnership with the Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Foundation, KEEN, Chicago Lighthouse, and Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
…held the inaugural Wintrust Week, which brought more than 100 young sailors to Monroe Harbor for onshore STEAM acitivities and sailing aboard the J/145 Sic Parvis Magna, thanks to our friends at Wintrust in the Community.
…continued our support for Sea Scout Ship #5870 Privateer, one of the oldest such ships in the country.
